STRS Ohio deposits benefits on the first banking day of each month.

Next payment—

When the 1st falls on a weekend or holiday, the deposit moves to the next banking day. All U.S. recipients are paid by direct deposit.

When does STRS Ohio pay retirees?

STRS Ohio deposits benefits on the first banking day of each month.

Why did my payment not arrive on the date shown?

Direct deposits usually post on the date shown, but some banks release funds a day later. Paper checks are mailed before the payment date and can take several days to arrive. If a payment is more than five business days late, contact the plan.

Does the December payment count for this year or next?

STRS Ohio pays the December benefit on December 31, so it counts as income for the same year.
